A gentile disciple of our risen LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Both the original 12 disciples and subsequent disciples have been chosen and appointed by our Messiah, Jesus Christ, Who calls Himself the Son of Man.

Since the Temple curtain was torn and Jesus, GOD the Son, has ascended to sit at the right hand of GOD the Father, we, who are Jesus' disciples (either Jew or gentile), continue to be used by GOD to make disciples of all nations even now in these last few seconds of the end of the age.

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." -- LORD Jesus Christ to His disciples(Matthew 28:18-20)

What does GOD want from His disciples?

From Acts 4:1-31 ...

The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day. But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.

The next day the rulers, elders and teachers of the law met in Jerusalem. Annas the high priest was there, and so were Caiaphas, John, Alexander and the other men of the high priest's family. They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them:

"By what power or what name did you do this?"

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Whom you crucified but Whom GOD raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. HE is ...

'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.'

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together.

"What are we going to do with these men?" they asked. "Everybody living in Jerusalem knows they have done an outstanding miracle, and we cannot deny it. But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn these men to speak no longer to anyone in this name."

Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, "Judge for yourselves whether it is right in GOD's sight to obey you rather than GOD. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."

After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising GOD for what had happened. For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.

On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to GOD. "Sovereign LORD," they said, "YOU made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. YOU spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David:

'Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against His Anointed One.'

Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed. They did what Your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. Now, LORD, consider their threats and enable Your servants to speak Your word with great boldness. Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus."

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of GOD boldly.

A faxed letter to a local Christian pastor...

Dear Pastor,

In our phone conversation about 1 Cor 12:3, you cited Matthew 7:21 as your reason for believing that not everyone who can say "Jesus is LORD" will enter the kingdom of heaven:

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father, Who is in heaven." -- LORD Jesus Christ

Laus Deo!

Personally, I have witnessed many who can say either "Lord, lord" or "Jesus is my personal lord and savior" or "Lord Jesus Christ" and yet can not say "Jesus is LORD."

Specifically, I have a very religious friend and Christian Bible-school teacher who is able to say "Lord, lord" or "Lord Jesus Christ" but not "Jesus is LORD." Her stated reason: "I don't trust Jesus."

The will of GOD the Father is that we trust GOD the Son, Who is Jesus.

Those who trust Jesus, Who is the truth, are doing the will of GOD the Father, because GOD wants us to trust His one and only begotten Son, Jesus. Those of us, who trust the truth, Who is Jesus, will therefore "enter the kingdom of heaven" and this is evident by the Holy Spirit helping us say "Jesus is LORD" per what is written at 1 Cor 12:3 in the Bible:

All the others can not say "Jesus is LORD" because the Holy Spirit is not willing to help those who do not trust the truth, Who is Jesus:

A conversation with a confrontational atheist neighbor...

Atheist: "Since you want me to believe you, show me your god."

Jesus' disciple: "Jesus is LORD."

Atheist: "So what?"

Jesus' disciple: "Would not have been able to say that without GOD's help."

Atheist: "Anyone can say that."

Jesus' disciple: "Ok, go ahead and allow me to hear you say 'Jesus is LORD.'"

Atheist: "I can't say anything that is untrue."

Jesus' disciple: "Ok, please let me hear you say 'Santa Claus lives at the North Pole.'"

Atheist: "Santa Claus lives at the North Pole."

Jesus' disciple: "See you can say things that we both know to be untrue. Now, go ahead and say 'Jesus is LORD.'"

Atheist: "I can't."

Jesus' disciple: "As it is written in the Bible, ' one can say "Jesus is LORD" except by the Holy Spirit' so your hearing me say this, while you are kept from doing the same, is a miracle that proves GOD's presence here even though He is not allowing us to see Him with our eyes at the moment. Dear heavenly Father (looking heavenward) please soften this neighbor's heart so that he comes to trust Jesus, Who is Your one and only Son. This I ask in Jesus' most precious and holy name. Amen."

An email sent to a local Christian pastor on 10/13/09:

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

A Spirit-guided exegesis of Jeremiah 29:11...

"Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. They are prophesying lies to you in My name. I have not sent them," declares the LORD (Jeremiah 29:8-9)

Laus Deo!

It is not by chance but by GOD (Proverbs 16:33) that a true study of Jeremiah 29:11 did not materialize on the morning of 10/11/09 until now. This is so that you may believe that the following thought is truly from the LORD:

Baptize xxxx with the Holy Spirit by teaching folks that we should learn who among us are not truly born again by finding out who among us cannot publicly say "Jesus is LORD" using our mouth (Romans 10:9).

This is most easily done by asking members of xxxx to greet each other henceforth both inside and outside xxxx walls by saying boldly "Jesus is LORD" instead of with a holy kiss.

The purpose of doing this is two-fold:

(1) To righteously and prayerfully ask GOD on behalf of each unsaved friend by specific name to soften their heart (Ezekiel 11:19-20 and 36:26) so that they would be born again as new creatures in Christ Jesus (John 3:3 and 5).

(2) To invite the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:3) to truly move, guide, and direct xxxx members toward fulfulling the plans that GOD has "to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

May GOD bless you more than ever, Pastor xxxx, during this your challenging time as leader of xxxx, in Jesus' name. Amen.

and Author of "Trust the Truth:"

A Spirit-guided thought about who are Christians and who are wolves, masquerading as Christians...

A Christian is someone who belongs to LORD Jesus Christ, and is therefore a citizen of His everlasting kingdom (i.e. saved from the wages of sin, which is eternal death).

How can someone become a Christian?

"With man this is impossible, but with GOD all things are possible." -- LORD Jesus Christ (Matthew 19:26) answering His disciples' question "Then who can be saved?"

Laus Deo!

How does someone know if s/he has been redeemed (i.e. forgiven of all his/her sins and therefore saved) by GOD the Son, thereby receiving eternal life (John 3:16) ?

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is LORD," and believe in your heart that GOD raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

When someone says with his/her mouth, "Jesus is LORD." this is a miracle because the Holy Spirit looks into that person's heart, sees that s/he does "believe that GOD raised Him from the dead" and concludes by helping him/her say "Jesus is LORD."

"... no one can say 'Jesus is LORD' except by the Holy Spirit." (1 Cor 12:3)

Laus Deo!

Therefore, a Christian is also simply someone who can say "Jesus is LORD."

There are many others who appear to be Christian in their religiousness while actually being wolves masquerading as sheep as demonstrated by their instigating the persecution of Christians from within Christian organizations (like Pharisee Saul did before being born again as Apostle Paul) and will not be able to say with their mouths "Jesus is LORD." Moreover, they often write Romans 10:9 incorrectly as:

"...if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved..."

Archived source example (accessed on 02/13/09):

Can a non-christian (even one masquerading as a Christian) become a Christian?

Yes, by being "born again" thereby becoming a new creature in Christ.

Nicodemus (along with the other Pharisees) needed to be "born again" to be saved but was not (Nicodemus did not believe Jesus has the power to make him "born again" thereby saving him).

Saul needed to be "born again" to be saved and was saved when GOD changed Saul's heart thereby changing Saul, who did not trust Jesus, to Paul, who did trust Jesus.

Bottom line:

GOD saves whomever He wants to save. There is no such thing as a co-redeemer.

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit -- fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name." -- LORD Jesus Christ (Matthew 15:16) in His exclusive promise to His disciples.

What is fruit that will last?

Prayerfully asking GOD to save someone whose soul is perishing.

How to learn if someone's soul is perishing:

Simply ask, "Are you able to say 'Jesus is LORD' ?" and then follow through until you witness them say "Jesus is LORD" with their mouth (Romans 10:9) unto salvation (Romans 10:10) or not. If the latter then their soul is perishing and they are like Nicodemus in their needing to be born again (John 3:3 & 5).
