We have all been deceived by the false teaching that is represented by the response "You're welcome" given for each "Thank you."
"You're welcome" is short for "You're welcome to keep thanking and praising me" ! ! !
This is false teaching because it is written in the Bible that we do good things so that people will praise our Father in heaven:
"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." -- LORD Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:16)
Therefore, saying "You're welcome" is simply wrong based on what Jesus has taught us.
"This righteousness from GOD comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:22-24)
Because you now know that saying "You're welcome" is being taught by false teachers, you likely now want to learn what is the right thing to say in response to "Thank you."
The right thing to say is the Latin phrase "Laus Deo" which means "Praise GOD."
How do we become able to reject all the false teachings that keep us from walking more closely with Jesus?
