Foundation member, Dr. Andrew Chung, assails the world's greatest lie while at Emory(7/12/08)

(Atlanta, Georgia, July 12th, 2008)- Today, Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, spoke at Emory about the information in his book titled, Be Hungry, which is now in its second printing. Understanding this information has helped Dr. Chung free his neighbors, friends, family, and cardiac patients from their compulsion to overeat so that they become cured of their metabolic syndrome (MetS), which subjects an estimated 40-60 million Americans to worsening cardiovascular disease.

Starting with an inspirational true story about his own out-of-body experience and healing miracle that happened 11 years ago, Be Hungry is about a doctor's inspired quest to help others overcome the trap of this world's greatest lie that "hunger is starvation." It is this terrible lie that compels people to irrationally overeat to their own detriment. Be Hungry summarizes the 2PD-OMER Approach, by which people can freely choose to eat less (instead of being forced by surgery to eat less), down to the optimal amount so that they become healthier (hungrier) than ever. It is the lie that "hunger is starvation" that makes this simple Approach difficult. Despite the difficulty, the 2PD-OMER Approach invariably works to help people lose the visceral adipose tissue (VAT) that has been harming them.

"After the presentation, we did some role-playing to show what is required to overcome the lie. Afterwards, Jenya prepared a delicious dessert that was enjoyed after weighing with thanks given to GOD for the amount that He provided. Wanting more is not the same as needing more and it is only by weighing that knowledge is gained about having all that one needs," recalled Dr. Chung.

Those who read Be Hungry finally learn why America is in the throes of a growing obesity epidemic with accelerating rates of hypertension and diabetes. This is not happening because of either poor diet or lack of exercise as most have been led to falsely believe.

Dr. Andrew B. Chung is a board-certified cardiologist, who has established a solo cardiology practice in Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. His graduate doctoral dissertation work was conducted in the Department of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at Emory University making him uniquely qualified to use the knowledge that has been given to him to help others. Indeed, he has been helping people on-line through his HeartMDPhD.com web site since 1995 while being joyfully married to his wife since 1990. They have been blessed with a 6 year-old daughter, who is alive and well after being miraculously healed in utero of her Kleeblatschadel Syndrome. This latter healing miracle is the subject of his next book.

Foundation Starts "Team Samaritan" as Part of Community Pan-Flu Preparedness Plans (12/22/07)

(Atlanta, Georgia, December 22nd, 2007)- Today, Foundation members unveiled the Team Samaritan Project in anticipating the need to organize, train, and coordinate immune survivor volunteers once the Pan-Flu strikes.

"Our hope is that when 911 services go on diversion, that Team Samaritan will be in place with enough immune survivor volunteers to step in to help those in need in order to prevent widespread panic and despair," reports a Foundation Advisor.

Meanwhile, the Foundation plans to continue their free health fairs at Mableton's library and other venues in order to teach people how to increase the possibility that they will be among the survivors of Pan-Flu infection. It would be through an increased number of immune survivors, from which to draw upon for volunteers, that the Team Samaritan Project could possibly be successful.

Foundation Continues Implementing Community Pan-Flu Preparedness Plans (12/15/07)

(Atlanta, Georgia, December 15th, 2007)- Today, attendees of the 29th Go Red Health Fair held over at Mableton's South Cobb Regional Library (805 Clay Rd. Mableton GA 30126) learned about the ever-growing threat of a devastating Flu Pandemic that county officials are referring to as the Pan-Flu.

"When Pan-Flu is declared, 911 services will go on diversion for anyone with Flu symptoms. This is to protect hospital staff from contracting the Pan-Flu. Understandably, many will be angry and shocked when learning this for the first time. It remains our continued hope that by holding these free Foundation health fairs most people in our community will not be hearing about this diversion for the first time when the Pan-Flu strikes," explains a Foundation member.

Attendees learned that because news about the on-going threat of the Pan-Flu has become un-popular, that the main way to direct friends, family, and neighbors to attend the free Foundation health fairs is by "word of mouth." Local press are aware of the need for Pan-Flu preparedness but are hindered by the public aversion to this critically important topic. The aversion can be overcome by greater public awareness of ways to survive this catastrophic event with preparation through education that is being provided at free Foundation health fairs.

Foundation member, Dr. Andrew Chung, assails the world's greatest lie (7/28/07)

(Atlanta, Georgia, July 28th, 2007)- Today, Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, spoke at Mableton's Book House (692 Pucket Dr. Mableton GA 30126) where his new book titled, Be Hungry is now available for purchase. Be Hungry contains information that has helped Dr. Chung free his neighbors, friends, family, and cardiac patients from their compulsion to overeat so that they become cured of their metabolic syndrome (MetS), which subjects an estimated 40-60 million Americans to worsening cardiovascular disease.

Starting with an inspirational true story about his own near-death experience (NDE) and healing miracle that happened just over 10 years ago, Be Hungry is about a doctor's inspired quest to help others overcome the trap of this world's greatest lie that "hunger is starvation." It is this terrible lie that compels people to overeat to their own detriment. Be Hungry summarizes the 2PD-OMER Approach, by which people can freely choose to eat less (instead of being forced by surgery to eat less), down to the optimal amount so that they become healthier (hungrier) than ever. It is the lie that "hunger is starvation" that makes this simple Approach difficult to use. Despite the difficulty, the 2PD-OMER Approach invariably works to help people lose the visceral adipose tissue (VAT) that has been harming them.

"We talked about metabolic syndrome and how it is killing millions in America while also destroying our health care system. Ultimately the blame has to be assigned to that great lie that 'hunger is bad' which is compelling people to overeat to the point of acquiring this condition," recalled Dr.

Foundation continues to sponsor Kalila King teaching Tai Chi Sentinel Martial Arts (Taiji) for free in Mableton (7/07/07)

(Atlanta, Georgia, July 7th, 2007)- The Wellness Foundation is pleased to acknowledge its sponsorship of the Wellness Taiji Project, which is now well into its third year with Ms. Kalila King at the helm as its Taiji instructor.

Recent unsolicited feedback from one of the beneficiaries of the Wellness Taiji Project best summarizes the sentiments of the community:

"I'm taking Kalila King's Taiji class, and want to tell you what a *wonderful* teacher she is! She's deeply versed in this and in related disciplines, she communicates the movements simply but with a depth that allows the student to understand, she is always cheerful, and eager to spend extra time with students after class or in email. I am *deeply* grateful that The Wellness Foundation is sponsoring this unheard-of opportunity to learn Taiji for free, and I wanted you to know how much it means to me, and how grateful I am for this program--I'm 57 years old, overweight, learned Taiji 10 years ago but have not practiced since. With Kalila's skillful help I haved re-established my commitment to the discipline and art of Taiji, and already after only 3 months find remarkable health benefits (such as a stability and physical balance I *never* had before, growing muscle strength, and the reversal of the Piriformis Syndrome that drove me to take up Taiji again, to begin with!) due to the classes and my daily Practice. Again, thank you so very much for this wonderful, beneficial service you've offered the community!" -- Judith H.

Foundation member, Dr. Leslie Dauphin, has volunteered to help Katrina victims (9/3/05)

While the world is still reeling as the magnitude of the recent devastation of the Gulf Coast area by Hurricane Katrina is still being made fully known, others have been called to help her victims. Dr. Leslie Dauphin is a particularly notable example.

"...I have volunteered to be a part of the CDC's Emergency Response Team. We are on call to deal with the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina and will be deploying to emergency response sites along the coast, once safety measures have been stabilized. A public health impact of this magnitude (from exposure to contaminated water) has never before been seen in the United States and many are expected to become sick with infectious diseases" says Dr. Dauphin, who has demonstrated a penchant for helping others in her participation in community service organizations such as the Wellness Foundation, Inc., and in authoring the Germ Handbook.

Attendees of the Lifestyles for Today's Woman Conference learn about the 2PD-OMER Approach (4/18/05)

On April 2nd 2005, Dr. Andrew Chung, cardiologist and advisor to the Wellness Foundation, Inc., publicly announced the astonishing "weight loss with no regain" results of a 5 year study involving more than 625,550 people who had chosen to use the 2PD-OMER Approach. The instructions for this lifestyle change remain as originally published in 1998 on the HeartMDPhD.com web site.

The "weight loss with no regain" results stunned Dr. Chung's audience which consisted of other health professionals and well-informed participants who were attending the Lion's Foundation sponsored Lifestyles for Today's Woman symposium, which was held at the Marietta Conference Center and Resort in Marietta, Georgia, USA this year.

The mood was initially very subdued as the audience heard about the growing number of women afflicted with metabolic syndrome, which was described as a condition associated with significantly higher rates of diabetes, heart attacks, and strokes. Predictions were made that this trend would accelerate as it was being fueled by America's obesity epidemic.

This somber atmosphere turned into one of elation as the audience learned about the 2PD-OMER Approach and the amazing effectiveness of this lifestyle change to bring about lasting weight loss. Later, the Conference Co-chair Roxie Arnold wrote, "after losing 30 pounds, I was at a three week lull, no weight loss at all. No more, I've dropped two more pounds in four days, by weighing everything and sticking to the two pounds of food daily. Thank you so much, Doctor."

Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue Learns about Projects Sponsored by the Wellness Foundation, Inc. (7/24/04)

Foundation member and board-certified Atlanta cardiologist, Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD, met today with Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue to discuss the 2PD Approach being used by Dr. Chung to help heart patients achieve lasting weight loss without either strenuous exercise or diet pills since 1998. As a representative of the Wellness Foundation, Inc., Dr. Chung updated the Governor on the alarming trends of increasing obesity in the United States and especially in Georgia. The Governor asked what percentage of people trying the 2PD Approach are able to stay with it. Dr. Chung answered, "all have been able to stay with it." Governor Perdue received copies of the instructions for the 2PD Approach and a tape recording of one of Dr. Chung's lectures at one of the Wellness Foundation, Inc. seminars. Dr. Chung also invited the Governor to attend future seminars about metabolic syndrome (MetS), which predicts cardiovascular problems and can be "cured" by losing weight permanently.

The Foundation President, Gary Greene, also met with Governor Perdue to introduce faith-based Foundation projects and to offer the Governor the Foundation's assistance on any shared faith-based interests. Later the same morning, Foundation Chairman, Jaswant Chaddha, and Foundation Treasurer, Pamela Chaddha, met with Governor Perdue to inform him about Foundation projects addressing women's health issues.
