Teaching about the world's greatest lie while at Emory(7/12/08)

(Atlanta, Georgia, July 12th, 2008)- Today, Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, spoke at Emory about the information in his book titled, Be Hungry, which is now it its second printing. Understanding this information has helped Dr. Chung free his neighbors, friends, family, and cardiac patients from their compulsion to overeat so that they become cured of their metabolic syndrome (MetS), which subjects an estimated 40-60 million Americans to worsening cardiovascular disease.

Starting with an inspirational true story about his own out-of-body experience and healing miracle that happened 11 years ago, Be Hungry is about a doctor's inspired quest to help others overcome the trap of this world's greatest lie that "hunger is starvation." It is this terrible lie that compels people to irrationally overeat to their own detriment. Be Hungry summarizes the 2PD-OMER Approach, by which people can freely choose to eat less (instead of being forced by surgery to eat less), down to the optimal amount so that they become healthier (hungrier) than ever. It is the lie that "hunger is starvation" that makes this simple Approach difficult. Despite the difficulty, the 2PD-OMER Approach invariably works to help people lose the visceral adipose tissue (VAT) that has been harming them.

"After the presentation, we did some role-playing to show what is required to overcome the lie. Afterwards, Jenya prepared a delicious dessert that was enjoyed after weighing with thanks given to GOD for the amount that He provided. Wanting more is not the same as needing more and it is only by weighing that knowledge is gained about having all that one needs," recalled Dr. Chung.

Those who read Be Hungry finally learn why America is in the throes of a growing obesity epidemic with accelerating rates of hypertension and diabetes. This is not happening because of either poor diet or lack of exercise as most have been led to falsely believe.

Dr. Andrew B. Chung is a board-certified cardiologist, who has established a solo cardiology practice in Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. His graduate doctoral dissertation work was conducted in the Department of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at Emory University making him uniquely qualified to use the knowledge that has been given to him to help others. Indeed, he has been helping people on-line through his HeartMDPhD.com web site since 1995 while being joyfully married to his wife since 1990. They have been blessed with a 6 year-old daughter, who is alive and well after being miraculously healed in utero of her Kleeblatschadel Syndrome. This latter healing miracle is the subject of his next book.

Stopping the Flu at First Baptist Church in Woodstock

(Woodstock, Georgia, February 2nd, 2008)- While attending the 2008 Triple-Play Men's Conference in Woodstock. Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, was led by the Holy Spirit to prevent a Flu outbreak among more than 7500 male attendees of the Men's Conference at the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. This occurred one-day before Presidential-candidate Mike Huckabee was scheduled to speak at the Church.

"My dear brother was very ill, aching all over, dizzy, and burning up. He is only 29 years old but the Influenza virus is very strong, able to strike down the strongest among us except for those who have been immunized. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we were able to get him to the infirmary right away to start medical treatment. There, dear sister Charlotte, who was the nurse on duty, measured his temperature and it was 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Since it had been less than 48 hours from symptom onset, starting oseltamivir, which I carry for this purpose, was the key to both treating and stopping this potential outbreak," reported Dr. Chung. "May all praise GOD for the good that we have done here," Dr. Chung adds.

Dr. Andrew B. Chung is a board-certified cardiologist, who has established a solo cardiology practice in Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. He has also completed post-graduate training in the Department of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at Emory University making him uniquely able to handle Influenza outbreaks. Moreover, he has been helping people on-line through his HeartMDPhD.com web site since 1995 while being happily married to his wife since 1990. They have been blessed with a 5 year-old daughter, who is alive and well after being miraculously healed in utero by the Holy Spirit of her Kleeblatschadel Syndrome. This latter healing miracle is the subject of his next book, which the Holy Spirit has guided him to write after Be Hungry.

EmoryCardiology.com Sold for a Million Dollars

(Atlanta, Georgia, November 22nd, 2007) - Dr. Andrew Chung officially announced today that the EmoryCardiology.com domain has been sold after being offered up for sale on 9/11/07, which was more than 9 years after the web site was created in 1998.

"We are pleased to report that the buyers will have me remain as the lawful steward of the web site. They seem very interested in ensuring that the site remains respectful of Emory's Christian heritage and this appears to be their primary motivation for purchasing the domain. While I am disappointed that Emory was unable to come up with a competitive offer, having Christian brethren as buyers is a tremendous blessing. The million dollars will go toward doubling our guarantee for the efficacy of the 2PD-OMER Approach, so that much good will come of this transaction," said Dr. Chung.

As had been described weeks earlier, Emory University failed in its bid to purchase the high-profile EmoryCardiology.com domain after months of negotiations with Dr. Chung. The buyers of EmoryCardiology.com declined to be identified citing that it would detract from their mission and the purpose of the web site.

Screening for Harmful VAT

(Atlanta, Georgia, October 7th, 2007)- Starting at 10:00 AM EST on October 7th, 2007, Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, performed free screenings for harmful VAT at the Shiloh SDA Church (810 Church Street, Smyrna, GA 30080) for the Wellness Foundation, a local non-profit organization. Then at 3:30 PM EST, he taught within the church sanctuary about VAT causing metabolic syndrome (MetS), which leads to high blood pressure, cholesterol problems, heart disease and type-2 diabetes. He directed attendees to his new book, Be Hungry, which recently has gone into its second printing with information essential for overcoming the irrational compulsion to overeat that leads to VAT, which ultimately causes the heart attacks and strokes that are killing thousands of Americans daily.

Starting with an inspirational true story about his own near-death experience (NDE) and healing miracle that happened just over 10 years ago, Be Hungry is about Dr. Chung’s inspired quest to help others overcome the trap of this world’s greatest lie. It is this terrible lie that compels people to overeat to their own detriment. Be Hungry summarizes the 2PD-OMER Approach, by which people can eat less, down to the optimal amount to lose the VAT.

“VAT is that bad inside fat that folks don’t see. Even skinny folks have VAT if they have been overeating. We have overeaten whenever we eat to the point of being full,” explains Dr. Chung.

Those who read Be Hungry finally learn why America is in the throes of a growing obesity epidemic with accelerating rates of hypertension and diabetes. This is not happening because of lack of dieting and exercising as we have been led to falsely believe.

HOW TO OVERCOME THE COMPULSION TO OVEREAT

(Atlanta, Georgia, September 24th, 2007)- Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, will be teaching this week at a local Washington Mutual Bank using his new book, Be Hungry, which is available for local purchase exclusively at the Book House (692 Pucket Dr. Mableton GA 30126). Be Hungry contains information that has helped Dr. Chung free his neighbors, friends, family, and cardiac patients from their compulsion to overeat, which results in the formation of bad inside fat (visceral adipose tissue or VAT) that is causing most if not all health problems in industrialized countries such as the U.S. Be Hungry is now in its second printing.

Starting with an inspirational true story about his own near-death experience (NDE) and healing miracle that happened just over 10 years ago, Be Hungry is about a doctor’s inspired quest to help others overcome the trap of this world’s greatest lie. It is this terrible lie that compels people to overeat to their own detriment. Be Hungry summarizes the 2PD-OMER Approach, by which people can eat less, down to the optimal amount so that they become healthier than they have ever been in their lives. Overcoming the compulsion to overeat is a necessary part of this simple Approach that invariably effects the loss of VAT that is causing much death and disability.

“Will be teaching folks about the only exercise that gets rid of that bad inside fat,” muses Dr. Chung.

Those who read Be Hungry finally learn why America is in the throes of a growing obesity epidemic with accelerating rates of hypertension and diabetes. This is not happening because of either poor diet or lack of exercise as most have been led to falsely believe.

OVERCOMING THE WORLD'S GREATEST LIE

(Atlanta, Georgia, July 4th, 2007)- Starting at 10:00 AM EST on what is appropriately enough this country's Independence Day, Atlanta cardiologist, Dr. Andrew B. Chung, will be hosting an informal on-line chat at the HeartMDPhD.com cardiology web portal to celebrate the release of his new book titled, Be Hungry. This day is a fitting one because Be Hungry contains information that has helped Dr. Chung free his cardiac patients from their compulsion to overeat so that they become cured of their metabolic syndrome (MetS), which subjects an estimated 40-60 million Americans to worsening cardiovascular disease.

Starting with an inspirational true story about his own near-death experience (NDE) and healing miracle that happened just over 10 years ago, Be Hungry is about a doctor's inspired quest to help others overcome the trap of this world's greatest lie that "hunger is bad." It is this terrible lie that compels people to overeat to their own detriment. Be Hungry summarizes the 2PD-OMER Approach, by which people can eat less, down to the optimal amount so that they become healthier (hungrier) than ever. It is the lie that "hunger is bad" that makes this simple Approach difficult to tolerate as people invariably lose the visceral adipose tissue (VAT) that has been making them unhealthy.

"We'll hold the chat for about an hour. Any longer would probably earn the ire of our respective families, which likely still include many who falsely believe that 'hunger is starvation,'" notes Dr. Chung.

Dr. Chung muses: "We will probably be chatting a lot about MetS and how VAT causes this awful condition. However, we could end up just chatting about the NDE."

Those who read Be Hungry finally learn why America is in the throes of a growing obesity epidemic. It is not because of lack of dieting and exercising as most have been led to falsely believe.

Dr. Andrew B. Chung is a board-certified cardiologist, who has established a solo cardiology practice in Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. Attendees of the Lifestyles for Today's Woman Conference learn about the 2PD-OMER Approach (4/18/05)

On April 2nd 2005, Dr. Andrew Chung, cardiologist and advisor to the Wellness Foundation, Inc., publicly announced the astonishing "weight loss with no regain" results of a 5 year study involving more than 625,550 people who had chosen to follow the 2PD-OMER Approach. The instructions for this lifestyle change were originally published in 1998 on the HeartMDPhD.com web site.

The "weight loss with no regain" results stunned Dr. Chung's audience which consisted of other health professionals and well-informed participants who were attending the Lion's Foundation sponsored Lifestyles for Today's Woman symposium, which was held at the Marietta Conference Center and Resort in Marietta, Georgia, USA this year.

The mood was initially very subdued as the audience heard about the growing number of women afflicted with metabolic syndrome, which was described as a condition associated with significantly higher rates of diabetes, heart attacks, and strokes. Predictions were made that this trend would accelerate as it was being fueled by America's obesity epidemic.

This somber atmosphere turned into one of elation as the audience learned about the 2PD-OMER Approach and the amazing effectiveness of this lifestyle change to bring about lasting weight loss. Later, the Conference Co-chair Roxie Arnold wrote, "after losing 30 pounds, I was at a three week lull, no weight loss at all. No more, I've dropped two more pounds in four days, by weighing everything and sticking to the two pounds of food daily. Thank you so much, Doctor."

Georgia Governor Perdue Learns about Projects Sponsored by the Wellness Foundation, Inc. (7/24/04)

Foundation member and board-certified Atlanta cardiologist, Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD, met today with Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue to discuss the 2PD Approach being used by Dr. Chung to help heart patients achieve lasting weight loss without either strenuous exercise or diet pills since 1998. As a representative of the Wellness Foundation, Inc., Dr. Chung updated the Governor on the alarming trends of increasing obesity in the United States and especially in Georgia. The Governor asked what percentage of people trying the 2PD Approach are able to stay with it. Dr. Chung answered, "all have been able to stay with it." Governor Perdue received copies of the instructions for the 2PD Approach and a tape recording of one of Dr. Chung's lectures at one of the Wellness Foundation, Inc. seminars. Dr. Chung also invited the Governor to attend future seminars about metabolic syndrome (MetS), which predicts cardiovascular problems and can be "cured" by losing weight permanently.

The Foundation President, Gary Greene, also met with Governor Perdue to introduce faith-based Foundation projects and to offer the Governor the Foundation's assistance on any shared faith-based interests. Later the same morning, Foundation Chairman, Jaswant Chaddha, and Foundation Treasurer, Pamela Chaddha, met with Governor Perdue to inform him about Foundation projects addressing women's health issues.

HeartMDPhD.com Announces Charitable Donations (3/2/04)

HeartMDPhD.com, a large cardiology information portal based in Atlanta, Georgia announces that it is requiring everyone who wants to receive Dr. Chung's answers to their specific medical questions to donate to charities such as Doctors Without Borders which helps people in desperate medical need around the world. This organization was chosen to be one of the recipients of HeartMDPhD.com donations because it helps people irrespective of national origin in the same manner that Dr. Chung has helped people through his web site since 1995. Another sponsored charity is the Wellness Foundation, Inc. which is a Georgia non-profit corporation that freely helps to educate the community about health and wellness.

Andrew B. Chung, MD/PhD, a private practice cardiologist, started HeartMDPhD.com in 1995 primarily to see whether there was a need for doctors to be on the Internet. The response was immediate and Dr. Chung, soon found that nearly all his free time was taken up by answering medical questions from people all over the world.

When asked how he has had the time for maintaining such a large web site his response has always been "I type fast, my wife is very forgiving, and I have cut back on watching TV." Now, his web site is one of the largest non-commercial physician authored cardiac web sites in the world and is listed in major Internet search engines. The web site has Dr. Chung's authoritative answers to literally hundreds of medical questions from people residing all over the world and annotated links to other reliable portals of medical information.

When asked what has motivated him to spend so much time on a project to help strangers who he will likely never meet, he has responded with "I have actually met many of the people whom I have helped. They have been looking me up when they visit Atlanta and that has made my efforts especially rewarding. Helping people simply to do good remains the main reason for my becoming a doctor in the first place. Wrestling with insurance claims sometimes makes me forget this but I remember it as soon as I get email from someone somewhere in Asia, Europe or North America asking for my help."

However, since 2001 when Dr. Chung started building a private cardiology practice many have told him that he simply was not going to have either the time or motivation to continue with helping people on the Internet as he had been doing since 1995. He continues to respond, "I have been blessed by GOD with both ability and the privilege of receiving my medical training from one of the best programs in the world at Emory University. With such gifts there is a great underlying plan that is GOD's. What I am doing is simply fulfilling His purpose for me."
