Health Fair Mission: To improve the health, fitness, and wellness of people in our communities with an emphasis on preventing cardiovascular disease in women (and men). Click here for PDF of flyer

Free services provided by volunteers (Thank you volunteers!):
  • Blood pressure check for hypertension.
  • Fasting blood glucose check for diabetes.
  • Vision testing by the South Cobb Lions Club.
  • Metabolic syndrome (MetS) screening
  • Fancy face painting for the young at heart.
  • Live country guitar music by Gina Marie.

Schedule:
  • 10:00 to 10:15 am - Welcome by Donna Woodall from Mary Kay Cosmetics
  • 10:15 to 10:30 am - Drawing for door prizes.
  • 10:30 to 10:45 am - Metabolic Syndrome (MetS): The Crisis and the Cure
  • 10:45 to 11:45 am - Live country guitar music by singer/songwriter Gina Marie
  • 11:45 to 12:00 Nn - Drawing for door prizes.
  • 12:00 to 12:30 pm - "How to exercise without injury" by Dr. Dougherty
  • 12:45 to 01:00 pm - Taiji (Tai Chi) exercise demonstration (clinically proven benefit for osteoarthritis) by Bob Fletcher.
  • 01:00 to 01:15 pm - Stroke Case Presentation: The Tabar family.
  • 01:15 to 01:45 pm - How to lose weight safely and permanently: The 2PD-OMER Approach
  • 01:45 to 02:00 pm - Final drawing for door prizes. Fair closes.

Dr. Blake received his medical degree and training in family medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. His practice is located in Mableton.

Dr. James Carren c/o Private Chiropractic Practice
Dr. Carren is board-certified in chiropractic medicine. His practice in located in Austell off the E-W connector.

Dr. J. C. Carter c/o Cobb Internal Medicine
